Prototyping ENGINEERS: Prototype Development and Test.
EDUCATION DESIRED: BS in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Formulate, fabricate, test, and document new advanced prototypes of thermal interface materials.
- Design, fabricate, assemble, bring on line, and document thermal management test beds, related device components or subsystem.
Interface with design and materials engineers in determining requirements for robust integration and assembly of product prototypes or components. Design, and/or specify, purchase, assemble, operate, and maintain experimental manufacturing and test equipment.
Must have technical background corresponding to the design, fabrication, prototyping, integration and testing of devices, structures and/or mechanical, electronic/electrical and thermal subsystem components.
Industrial laboratory experience (in addition to coursework) in the design, fabrication and testing of materials and structures is required.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is a must.
Experience writing standard operating procedures is a must.
Experience with IR thermal measurement techniques as well as electrical device characterization is a plus.
Experience with CAD software (e.g. Inventor, Solidworks) is a plus.
Experience with industrial and prototyping fabrication techniques for thermal interface materials is highly desirable.
